Gardening for Bumblebees are a musical collective formed around central members Sam Begbie and Joe Doyle. With an emphasis on traditional song writing, the band’s indie-folk sound has been likened to that of Jeff Buckley, Alex G and Hothouse Flowers.
From their first gig in summer 2017 played in a tent to a few friends and Sam’s dog, the group has taken to the wing finding themselves 6 months on playing to a crowd of 300 in the Royal Concert Hall at the start of this year.
GfB have played at festivals and venues around Glasgow and Edinburgh and were awarded a ‘Danny’ as finalists at Celtic Connection’s Danny Kyle Open Stage 2018.
Their unprecedented growth over the past year is similar to that of a well tended garden. Why not stop and smell the roses?
