Newcastle acts Waheela and Nathalie Stern are bringing their unique brand of sonic experimentation to Scotland for the first time. Having played with both acts before in Voe I can promise you they are pioneers in the ambient/noise scene. Also returning to Sleazy’s are Aberdeen’s Sunwølf & Glasgow’s Tilde.
Waheela are an improvised noise/rock project driven by a shared affection for shrieking feedback, non-denominational riff worship & unexplained sounds.
Sunwølf are a drone metal band from the grim North. Returning as a trio, this is their first ...show in over a year. Rejoice.
Glasgow duo Tilde are an exercise in sonic experimentation. Ex members of Voe. Heavy, hypnotic drone. FFO: Wrekmeister Harmonies, Jesu & Planning for Burial. You get the idea.
Nathalie Stern uses vocals, keys and loops to create electronic looped folk horror sounds. Rooted in Scandinavian folk tradition but largely electronic, she writes droney love songs about European Citizenship and HP Lovecraft.
