Join us for the Engineering Society's Annual General Meeting on Wednesday 14th March at 5pm where all GUES committee positions will be open for election. FREE FOOD will be provided for all those attending!
Please read the below for the full information on the elections and the positions available.
General Board Member (5 available)
You must be a member of GUES to run for a position or vote in the elections. Any current GUES member may run for a general committee role. Executive committee roles are to be contested exclusively between current members of the GUES committee (both general and executive) as per constitution rules.
You must be nominated during the election and then your nomination must be seconded by a different society member.
Candidates for each position will be given the opportunity to make a short speech about why they wish to fill a position and why they suit the role, after which those attending can ask questions relating to the role the candidate has applied for. All candidates will be asked to leave the room while the vote takes place. Anyone who is interested in running for a position but cannot make the event can send in a one minute video to play on why they would like to run for the position.
