The QMU Campaigns and Charities Committee are taking on a unique challenge to raise money for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC)!
It takes 8,810 steps to climb to the top of Ben Nevis, so our team is going to climb 8,810 steps. Instead of heading off to Lochaber though, our volunteers are going to climb the library steps, so you can see the whole thing! Pop along to the Glasgow University Library from 2pm on Friday 16th February if you want to see someone climb a mountain inside a building.
This challenge is raising money in aid of the NSPCC- the UK's leading children's charity, who work to prevent all forms of abuse to children. They work in schools and with at-risk families, they lobby the government for better child protection and conduct research into how best to prevent abuse, and they operate Childline, a helpline for anyone up to the age of 19 experiencing any kind of problem.
We appreciate any donations, no matter how much, towards this worthwhile cause. Please donate at justgiving.com/fundraising/qmustairs or come along and find one of our collection buckets on the day.
