The Vintage Apollos have released one stunning album ‘Polyphony’ mixing the words of the late great poet Robert Paulley and the music of John Elliott.
Mick invited The Vintage Apollos to play slots with him at George Square and at support slots with The White Buffalo, Bruce Foxton and Jake Clemons of The E Street Band at The ABC.
This will be the Headline debut for Mick Hargan & The Vintage Apollo’s at Hug and Pint for 2018 Celtic Connections
Along with the improvisational aspect of the performance and the mix of Hargan’s emotive powerhouse performances, married with the virtuoso high energy musicianship of The Vintage Apollos, make this a can't miss show
Special guest is Dumfries based 13 Crowes — 13 Crowes released their debut album ‘ Young Poets ‘ to critical acclaim with German label Homebound Records. Subsequent successful full band and solo tours of Germany have followed with Mick Hargan being invited to open for them. Cammy Black front man and songwriter of 13 Crowes toured America as Mick Hargan’s guest in 2016. 13 Crowes are currently working on a new record.
Erin Ponsonby is a 19 year old singer/songwriter from Clydebank who released her Debut Single “Want Me Too” on all digital stores/platforms in February. Erin has been gigging for the past year where she firstly supported ‘Into the Ark’ on their UK tour through DF Concerts in The Garage, Glasgow. Since then she has played in many Glasgow venues such as The Barrowlands, King Tuts, Broadcast, The Hug and Pint, Classic grand (Through 'Behind the Noise 2015/16’) and The Clutha. Erin plays regularly with Newborn Sessions — As well as this, she is a busker in Glasgow and Stirling and is also currently recording her first EP.
