Maksy has recently been touted by Fabric's WetYourSelf as a «rising star» prior to his Fabric debut a few weeks ago & he has been on our radar for quite some time now. We're delighted to have Maksy come lock down the grooves as we hit the intimate Broadcast basement for our 3rd instalment.
He is best described as a young house and techno musician who wants to explore and share the various forms of timeless house and techno music with like minded individuals through his productions and DJ sets.
Having gained notoriety for his productions at a young age, Maksy quickly caught the attention of a number of heavy hitters at the forefront of various House and Techno circles throughout Europe and received great support on his early unreleased beats. Maksy's back catalogue of unreleased productions and recent vinyl releases have since gone on to attract attention from DJs and music aficionados worldwide.
Shifting his focus from quantity to quality in recent times has meant that physical releases have become less frequent but the end product is productions that stand out and have the timelessness aspect that Maksy aims for. His self released records «Maksy 001» and “Maksy 002”, both sell outs, are a good insight into the Maksy sound that blurs the lines between house and techno and combines the two with a minimal and dub influence.
Although originally establishing himself as a musician and producer, Maksy quickly fell in love with performing and has played throughout Ireland, the UK and Europe. As a DJ Maksy's passion lies in the depths of record shop second hand sections and digging for previously loved and often forgotten house and techno cuts.
