Classes are every MONDAY & THURSDAY (6-7.15pm) from 14 August to 31 August inclusive.
This structured six class course will give you a firm grounding in Forrest Yoga, a hatha-based practice developed specifically for the modern body. The classes will focus on conscious breathing, building strength and flexibility and learning to feel and work with all the sensations in your body.
In this six class course you will:
— Gain an understanding of the four pillars of the practice (breath, strength, integrity, spirit);
— Learn the eight basic moves;
— Feel and work with all the sensations in your body.
It’s intense so you’ll feel the benefits fast. Importantly though you will learn to work struggle-free so your body and mind will feel great after practicing.
This course is suitable for people of all ages and abilities, including anyone working with an injury. It is a great compliment to other styles of yoga. Katie’s classes promote a healing environment that, combined with her nurturing style, will help calm and focus your mind while strengthening your body and developing an attitude of kindness and compassion towards yourself.
Forrest Yoga was developed by Ana T. Forrest, international yoga teacher, medicine woman and author of Fierce Medicine. The practice draws on Native American medicine principles and challenges you to use your time on the mat to dig deep into yourself. The more you listen to your body, the more alive you’ll feel and the more exciting your life will become. Now that’s worth practicing for!
