Slam Events presents
Dave Clarke + Surgeon (DJ Set)
& Edit Select
Friday Sept 29
9pm-2am* (5 hour party — come early)
While Slam are touring Australia, on the last Friday of September we have 2 underground Techno pioneers laying down the Techno and raising the roof at SWG3. Supported by Edit Select.
He may be known as The Baron Of Techno, a moniker given to him by John Peel, but Dave Clarke has an anarchist streak a mile wide and punk in his soul, having no truck with establishment figures or authoritarianism.
A hard working purist, forward thinking futurist, technology geek, part Gothic and gadget lover who embraced the digital revolution in an early stages. It’s unsurprising he revels in the libertarianism of the World Wide Web. It gives symmetry to his savvy techno vision.
Surgeon has been at the forefront of UK techno for 2 decades. His sets are notable for experimentation with new DJ technologies embracing cutting edge hardware and software solutions, increasingly blurring the line between a DJ set and a live performance. Surgeon is a selector of great skill mixing up everything with live improvisation part of all of his performances.
