The course lasts 55mins each week and runs for 6 weeks.
Your class time will be every Thursday at 8pm for 6 weeks.
PAYMENT: It would be helpful to us if you could turn up 5 minutes early on the first night as registration and collection of payment can take awhile.
The course fee is £30 per person and is payable on the first night. Due to the limit to 20 places, priority will be given to those committing to the course. Once the 20 places are gone, they are gone!
If you could bring the exact amount with you in cash or by cheque that would be a great help.
*We cannot accept bank cards, although there is a cashpoint nearby, in Merchant Square.
WHAT IS BACHATA?
Bachata originally comes from the Dominican Republic and is a beautifully graceful dance with sensual, elegant moves. Bachata has evolved in recent years into other modern forms so that we now see Dominican bachata ( original form with fancy footwork), Bachata Sensual ( with sensual body isolations such as body rolls and breaks to show off your partner) and Bachata Moderna ( with showy hand flicks, and a nod to RnB musical influences).
To read more about it see bachatabrno.com
Bachata is widely danced in salsa clubs around the world and is extremely popular in Europe at the moment.
Sergio & Patricia teach a blend of all styles at a relaxed and easy pace but will challenge you each week with a new move after they have reviewed the previous week’s move.
Patricia and Sergio have been running a more advanced weekly class at Arta for the past year and have built up such a loyal following that they are continually asked when they will be running a beginners class and so we are delighted to be able to bring this course to you!
More and more salsa people are keen to explore bachata as it grows in popularity on the scene so let’s get you booked in as we only have 20 spaces available on this course due to the room size.

You do not need a partner and you do not need special clothing either. Normal clothes and comfy shoes will suffice.
This is not cabaret style with lifts and acrobatics..just good ole classic styling that everyone will feel comfortable doing.
