Hello. If you are reading this, it's possibly because you've been invited to a rather special homecoming event for me, Richie Evans, to celebrate getting through a rather tricky old year, and to spend time with many of the amazing people from back home who've helped me get through it.
Therefore, I'm bringing my award-winning Country/Americana/Rockabilly funsters, The Chicken Slacks, up north for a special performance at The Glad Cafe on Glasgow, where we are delighted to have very special guest, the soul doctor himself, Brian McGlynn, performing with us. It shall also be the final performance with The Chicken Slacks for one of our band members, Steve Ewing, who shall be moving onto fresh pastures, so what an opportunity for him to play before a mighty Glasgow audience before he departs the band.
The show shall be on Saturday, December 2nd 2017, and with standing room at The Glad limited to 120 people, we are selling tickets well in advance via several sources, as we and the venue anticipate a lot of interest.
Tickets, priced £10, are available from the following people from Tuesday, 18th July. For Pollokshields punters, Julia Anderson is who you want to get in touch with. For the rest of Glasgow, Jacqueline Evans. For Greenock &
Inverclyde, Rhona O'Hara, and for anyone who doesn't know these people, contact me, and I can arrange tickets for you with payment via BACS or PayPal. A decent percentage of the ticket receipts shall be going to The Glad Cafe, and as they have no box office, simply rolling up on the night is probably not going to fly.
That's that, I guess. Any questions, just holler. It's gonna be a mighty night…
