The exhibition showcases private tenants’ experiences and aims to put private tenants’ views at the centre of policy change, by connecting them with politicians and policymakers.
The exhibition was funded through Shelter Scotland’s partnership with the Oak Foundation and developed through a ‘photo voice’ project, carried out by Open Aye, which enabled private tenants to explore themes around housing, belonging and community within the private rented sector. Participants were trained in photography, provided with cameras and took pictures throughout a period of 3 months which convey their views and aspirations around private renting and housing generally.
Everyone is welcome, including private tenants, landlords and letting agents, policy makers and others with an interest in the private rented sector.
Please join us on Monday the 19th of June for the exhibition’s opening, light refreshments will be available.
The exhibition will run from the 19th of June to the 26th of June.
